The exciting news from Suzy continues to roll in!

On the heels of a $34 million Series C extension and two major product launches, we’re proud to share that Suzy has been recognized on Forbes’ second annual list of America’s Best Startup Employers in 2021

The list, presented by Forbes and market research company Statista, recognizes 500 startups—out of 2,500 qualified organizations and more than 7 million data points—that boast the best employer reputation, employee satisfaction, and company growth.

These factors, among others, helped to land Suzy at No. 30 in the U.S.—and No. 6 among startups based in New York City.

To gather employer reputation data, Statista reviewed each company’s articles, blogs, and social media posts for phrases such as corporate culture, diversity, and employee engagement. Statista then assessed employee satisfaction by researching and poring over online reviews. To evaluate growth, the firm examined each organization’s website traffic and headcounts over a two-year period

This year, the list also recognizes the startups that have stood out and been resilient in a year unlike any other.

“We are grateful to be named as one of the top startups by Forbes alongside 500 other innovative companies,” said Suzy’s Founder and CEO Matt Britton. “I’m really proud of the team here for making Suzy such a great place to work, especially during such a challenging year.”

At Suzy, an increased emphasis was placed on attracting, building, and engaging an entirely remote workforce—in ways big and small. From expanded mental health benefits and virtual classes to weekly employee engagement surveys and safe collaboration spaces, these actions led to remarkable growth for Suzy — and remarkable employee satisfaction.

“Our team and our business are growing faster than ever and that, in combination with this recognition, serves as a great motivator to keep trying new things, keep thinking creatively, and keep listening closely to our employees to make Suzy a great place to work every single year,” Matt added.

This rapid growth isn’t stopping anytime soon, either.

“We are growing like crazy,” says Suzy’s Chief People Officer Anthony Onesto. “I’ve seen first-hand how resilient our team and customers are, and I look forward to welcoming many more new faces and making an even bigger impact in 2021.”
