Office Depot wanted to better understand how their consumers were using clipboards in a digital world.

Target audience

Recent clipboard purchasers selected as part of a follow-on audience, determined from a screening question. 


Alongside the retailer, Suzy moderated a weeklong moderated discussion with clipboard purchasers to understand purchase considerations and real-life use cases. The store used the findings to adjust positioning and displays of clipboards across stores nationwide and immediately saw a lift in clipboard sales.
